Abstract

The Analysis on Nutritional Anthropometric Trends in Kenya publication by the National Irrigation Programme Focus for Nutrition (NIFPN) examines the trends in nutritional anthropometry, including stunting, wasting, and underweight, among children under five years of age in Kenya. Using data from the Kenya Demographic and Health Survey (KDHS) conducted between 1993 and 2014, the publication provides an overview of the prevalence and trends of nutritional anthropometry indicators in Kenya. The publication identifies key factors that contribute to the high prevalence of malnutrition in Kenya, including poverty, food insecurity, and inadequate access to healthcare services. The publication concludes by highlighting the need for targeted interventions that address the underlying determinants of malnutrition in Kenya.
