Abstract

The Policy Brief on Improving Dietary Diversity and Child Nutrition among Small-holder Irrigation Farmers by the National Irrigation Programme Focus for Nutrition (NIFPN) outlines the challenges facing small-holder irrigation farmers in achieving adequate dietary diversity and optimal nutrition for their children. The publication identifies the key determinants of dietary diversity and child nutrition among small-holder irrigation farmers, including poverty, limited access to education and healthcare services, and inadequate knowledge of good nutrition practices.
