The 2022 County Fiscal Strategy Paper (CFSP) is prepared in an environment of global, regional, national, and county economic recovery expected in 2022 following a slump in 2020 and 2021 occasioned by the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The projected recovery bolstered by broader vaccinations programme is projected to bring an additional fiscal support to county revenue framework in FY 2022/2023. To further reinforce this growth outlook, this 2022 County Fiscal Strategy Paper outlines policy measures that will continue to stimulate resilient and sustainable economic socio-economic recovery in Narok County. The 2022 CFSP is coming at a time when the CIDP 2018-2022 is being reviewed at half term. It is also prepared against a background of expected global recovery after a slump in 2020 occasioned by the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The global economy is projected to grow by 5.9 percent in 2021, from a contraction of 3.1 percent in 2020. The projected recovery in advanced economies reflects the anticipated additional fiscal support in the second half of 2021 and broader vaccinations coverage across the group. Kenya’s economy is projected to rebound to 6.0 percent in 2021 from the contraction of 0.3 percent in 2020.en
