Nandi County Fiscal Strategy Paper 2022

Abstract

The Nandi County Fiscal Strategy Paper (CFSP 2022) is a document prepared in accordance with the provisions of the PFM Act, 2012. It outlines the priority programs of the County Government to be implemented during the fiscal year 2022/2023 and the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) period. The paper reflects the collaborative efforts and needs of the people of Nandi County, aligning itself with key national and county policy documents. It highlights the previous financial year's outcomes, aligns with national objectives outlined in the Budget Policy Statement (BPS) 2022, and provides information on macroeconomic policies, fiscal strategy, revenue projections, resource allocation, and sectoral expenditure for the medium-term. The paper also emphasizes the improvement of efficiency in government departments and entities, while addressing challenges such as financial constraints, the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the upcoming general elections in August 2022.
