The Narok South District Development Plan recognizes the essential role of district-level planning in rural areas, particularly during a time of growing resource availability at devolved levels. The ongoing review of the main strategy aims to ensure a constituency focus, fostering an effective and participatory bottom-up public service delivery system. Building upon previous plans, the National Integrated Monitoring and Evaluation System is being extended to the sub-national level, enabling active and comprehensive engagement of communities and stakeholders throughout the entire program/project planning cycle, including initiation, selection, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and feedback. This will inevitably require sustaining and enhancing existing capacity building initiatives at both the national and sub-national levels to promote participatory planning and development.en
