dc.description.abstract | The Taita Taveta Annual Development Plan (ADP) for the fiscal year 2022/2023 has been formulated in compliance with the provisions of the Public Financial Management Act, 2012, and the Constitution of Kenya, Article 220(2). The primary objective of this plan is to provide a foundation for the County Government's budgeting process for the upcoming fiscal year. It outlines the priority programs and initiatives that will be implemented to drive development and progress within the county. The plan draws inspiration from the County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) 2018-2022, Kenya Vision 2030, and the Third Medium Term Plan (MTP III). The strategies and programs proposed in this document are also influenced by the Governor's manifesto. The broad priorities identified include improving access to clean water, enhancing education through infrastructure development and student support, investing in quality infrastructure, ensuring accessible healthcare services, enhancing food security and resilience, and empowering the youth, women, and vulnerable members of the community through cooperatives and improved access to credit. The plan is divided into two chapters, providing a brief background of the county and its physical features in Chapter One, while Chapter Two outlines departmental priorities, flagship projects, and proposed projects for the fiscal year 2022/2023. | en |
