Kajiado County Fiscal Strategy Paper 2022

Abstract

The County Fiscal Strategy Paper (CFSP) is a legal requirement that provides the basis for preparing the Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) 2022/23 – 2024/25. The 2022 CFSP provides a strategy framework for the implementation of the final year for the five-year development plan. The CFSP is also prepared at a time when the county and the country in general are recovering from the economic and social effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to actualize the medium term theme of Economic Recovery for Improved Quality of Life, the county will focus its development agenda onto four key thematic areas. They include, sustainable food security, improved nutrition and value addition; promotion of healthy lives and well-being of citizens; investment in social welfare to improve livelihoods; and promotion of entrepreneurship and job creating.
