Bomet County Annual Development Plan 2022/2023

Abstract

The Division of Economic Planning in collaboration with all county departments prepared the Annual Development Plan (ADP) for the period 2022/2023. The plan meant to implement the fifth year of the County Integrated Development Plan 2018-2022. It has been prepared in line with the Kenya Vision 2030, the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and the Public Finance Management Act 2012. The ADP is divided into five chapters. Chapter 1 provides background description of the County. The chapter provides the relevant data in respect of location, size, demographic profiles as well as the administrative and political units of the county. The chapter also describes the socio-economic and infrastructural information relevant for county development planning. In addition, this chapter highlights the linkage with CIDP 2018-2022 and outlines the priorities for 2022/2023 and the strategies to address those priorities. The chapter concludes by describing the process that was undertaken in developing this ADP.
