Circular on Tracking and Reporting on MTP/CIDP Implementation Progress Through Electronic National/ County Integrated Monitoring and Evaluation System (E-NIMES / E-CIMES)

Abstract

The National Treasury and Planning through the State Department for Planning, is mandated to support National and County Governments in establishment and implementation of the National/County Integrated Monitoring and Evaluation System (NIMES/CIMES). The NIMES/CIMES provides a mechanism to track implementation of projects and programmes contained in the Medium-Term Plans (MTPs) / County Integrated Development Plans (CIDPs). 1.2 To enhance efficiency in tracking and reporting on progress of implementation of the MTPs and CIDPs, the State Department in consultation with relevant National and County Governments institutions has developed an electronic NIMES/CIMES (e-NIMES/e-CIMES). The system provides a real-time reporting system for performance monitoring and evaluation of programmes and projects in the respective plans. The system also has a dashboard for reporting results. The eNIMES/ e-CIMES will be used to generate timely information for evidence-based decision making in the respective levels.
