Kericho County Budget Review and Outlook Paper 2022

Abstract

The County Budget Review and Outlook Paper (CBROP) 2022 has been prepared in line with Section 118 of the Public Finance Management (PFM) Act 2012. It presents the recent economic developments and actual fiscal performance of the FY 2021/2022 and makes comparisons to the budget appropriations for the same year. In this Paper, we will also provide an overview of how the actual performance of the FY 2021/2022 affected the County’s compliance with the fiscal responsibility principles and the financial objectives. The updated economic and financial outlook presented in this paper will set out the broad fiscal parameters for preparation of the next budget. In particular, the provisional ceilings presented are intended to act as a guide to sector working groups in preparing their budgets.
