Migori County Approved Budget Estimates 2023/2024

Abstract

This is the first budget estimated prepared after the change in county government following the general elections conducted in August 2022. The 2023/24FY budget estimate considers the county priorities as espoused in the County Integrated Development Plan 2023-2027 and the governor’s manifesto, views from the CRA and national and international commitments. The budget estimates in addition adheres to the fiscal responsibilities stated in the Revised/Amended County Fiscal Strategy Paper 2023 as well as the Public Finance Management Act, 2012. The revenue streams allocation is guided by The County Allocation Revenue Bill, 2022 which highlights the allocation for each county Governments’ equitable share and conditional allocations from National Government Revenue, conditional allocations to County governments from Loans and Grants from Development partners in the FY 2023/2024.
