dc.description.abstract | The ADP is an annual document that guides the implementation of projects and programmes from each county department from each county department as enshrined in the County Sectoral Plans (CSPs) This Financial year 2024/25 is largely aligned to the 2018-2027 CSPs, the 3rd generation CIDP (2023-2027) the National Development Framework as envisioned in Vision 2030 and its corresponding MTP IV and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development as summarized in Sustainable development goals. This ADP 2023/24 describes the county in terms of geographical location, size physiographic and natural conditions, demographic profiles as well as administrative units. Further, it outlines the broad strategic priorities, policy thrusts and objectives of the County Government of Tana River. the strategic priorities and government policy objectives inform the identification of priority projects and programmes to be implemented during the financial year. this is aimed at addressing the development challenges faced by the county after making a review of the status of the previous year's projects. the county government of Tana River functions to deliver key and essential services such as health care, water supply, agriculture development, road infrastructure, urban planning and development among others as enshrined in the county government act, 2012 section 5 and the functions are detailed in part II of the fourth schedule in the Constitution of Kenya 2010. | en |
