Machakos County Annual Development Plan 2024/2025

Abstract

The CADP is prepared annually as a way of implementing the five-year County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP), which serves as the county's development blueprint from 2023 to 2027. Its content relates to international commitments like the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), African Union Agenda 2063 as well as Kenya's Vision 2030, its Medium-Term Plan IV and the National Spatial Plan framework among others. The plan incorporates the Governor's Manifesto, which prioritizes Food Security, Socio-Economic Empowerment and Infrastructure Development as the three pillars with a primary objective of transforming social-economic livelihoods of Machakos residents to prosperity in line with our rallying call “Liu Mesani, Mbesa Muvuko”(food on the table, money in the pocket). The development of the CADP 2024/2025 was done through a participatory process that involved getting valuable inputs from the public and other County Stakeholders. The plan includes: a review of sector/ sub-sector achievements, challenges encountered and lessons and M & E framework.
