This Sector Plan discusses the Social Pillar of Kenya Vision 2030, which aims to create a just and equitable society based on democratic principles. The pillar emphasizes the importance of education and training in achieving this vision, with the Constitution of Kenya 2010 guaranteeing basic education for all children. However, the pillar also recognizes the need for technical and vocational education to transform the country. Under the Medium Term Plan, the education sector has pursued policies such as Free Primary Education and Free Day Secondary Education. The implementation of these policies highlighted issues that led to a review of policies, legal frameworks, and institutional reforms, resulting in the introduction of bills related to education in Parliament. Overall, the Social Pillar of Kenya Vision 2030 prioritizes education and training as crucial catalysts for achieving the aspirations of the vision.en
