The Sports, Culture, and Arts Sector in Kenya is a critical component of national development, encompassing sports, culture, arts, film, and music. The sector offers significant potential for job creation and youth empowerment by identifying, nurturing, and harnessing talents. The second Medium Term Plan (MTP II) saw the establishment of policies, legal frameworks, and the construction of national and county stadia, among other key projects. The third Medium Term Plan (MTP III) will focus on the Big Four agenda, contributing to job creation and youth empowerment, and implementing policies, programs, and projects in line with the Kenya Vision 2030. The full implementation of the plan requires commitment from stakeholders, including the private sector and sports federations. Prioritization and adequate financing are essential for the sector's economic and social empowerment, given its role in poverty alleviation and employment creation for the youth.en
