dc.description.abstract | Education and training is the primary means of social mobility, national cohesion and socioeconomic development. Since independence, the Government of Kenya has been committed to the provision of education and training to her citizens. Kenya, like other parts of the world, has experienced the impact of globalization thus increasing inter-dependence between and within states and the need for people to become responsible citizens both nationally and intonationally. Similarly, trade and communications have been revolutionized, while human capital requirements, especially because of the Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) revolution and has experienced rapid growth. The government continues to reform the education and training sector to respond to the emerging issues thus ensuring that the country's goals and aspirations are realized. | en |
